Liz Klein

Liz, wearing glasses and a bright blue patterned shirt, stands outside with a wall of purple passion flower vines behind her.

Liz Klein was born in California and spent most of her childhood in Kentucky. She attended the Kentucky    School for the Blind, and many people from that school still remember her fondly.

Liz was a member of the San Francisco CCB chapter for over 25 years. After retiring, she generously volunteered her time to our chapter, the East Bay Center for the Blind in Berkeley, the San Francisco Lighthouse and numerous other blindness community events. At many CCB conventions, you could find Liz at the SF chapter table selling our products to raise funds for what is now known as our Student Education Access Grant. During the pandemic, Liz knitted hats to be distributed to cancer patients.

Liz is survived by her son, Anthony, and two grandsons.
