The American Council of the Blind operates thrift stores in Amarillo and Lubbock, Texas. Our thrift stores accept donations of all types, including clothing, shoes, working appliances, furniture, toys, TV’s and small electronics, jewelry, books, art, exercise equipment, bedding, dishes and other new or gently used items. If you are near one of our stores, we can pick up those items you wish to donate. Because we are registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a charitable organization, your contributions may be tax-deductible.
We assist the community by recycling your gently used items, creating jobs, and reinvesting all profits to support the ACB programs and services that benefit people who are blind or visually impaired.
