On this Thanksgiving 2020, you are not alone. Throughout the day, from 11am-9pm ET (8am-6pm PT/6am-4pm HT) friends will be on-hand to welcome you in to our community where love, friendship, and support abound. Whether for 10 minutes or 10 hours, for someone to laugh with or cry with, please join us! Each hour we have a new facilitator and host ready to greet you. No matter the conversation of the hour, you’ll know you’ll be joining a community of friends. Register Now For The ACB Radio Holiday Auction

Happy Holidays! The 9th Annual ACB Radio Holiday Auction is just around the corner. This year’s auction will be filled with lots of wonderful gifts for the holidays. We will be showcasing homemade delicious food items, original crafts, jewelry, the latest technology and beautiful quilts. To view our list of auction items visit: https://acb.org/2020-holiday-auction-list. The auction will be on Sunday, November 29 at 6:00pm EST and there will be two days of the Sneak a Peak Appetizer Auction on Friday, November 27 and Saturday, November 28 to wet your appetite. If you or someone you know is interested in bidding on this year’s items, please sign up as soon as possible on members.acb.org. Below are instructions on how to sign up:

  1. On the login screen click “create an account”
  2. Complete the registration form. When finished entering your information click “create an account” to submit the form.
  3. At the top of the next screen, will be the Holiday Auction Registration link. Click on the link and then click on the Holiday Auction sign up.
  4. After signing up, you will receive an email with detailed Holiday Auction information. If you do not receive this email check your junk/spam folder. If you still did not receive the email call 612-332-3242.

Creating Quality Access to Outdoor Recreation for People Who are Blind or Visually Impaired

As outdoor recreation policy has recently created historic opportunities to increase access and equity in the outdoors, there is important work being done to help create quality outdoor experiences for people who are blind or visually impaired. Signal’s Managing Director and Co-Chair of Signal Outdoors hosts a discussion with the Director of Advocacy and Government Affairs for the American Council of the Blind, Clark Rachfal. Clark is an avid outdoorist, former Paralympian, and World Champion in tandem cycling and has been helping to lead efforts to connect more people who are blind to the outdoors and outdoor recreation. Macy's Day Parade with Live Audio Description

For the first time in Macy’s Parade broadcast history, in an effort to create a more inclusive experience for blind and visually impaired viewers, NBCUniversal is proud to present the full NBC broadcast with live audio description on the Secondary Audio Program channel (SAP), provided by Descriptive Video Works. This year’s broadcast will be available with additional audio narration, describing the rich visuals of the Parade including the magnificent balloons, floats and performances, to complement the storytelling and celebration that make the Parade an annual Thanksgiving Day tradition for millions of Americans.
