Give the Gift That Keeps on Giving to ACB

by Ray Campbell

As you read this, many of you are in the thick of holiday preparations. Part of this is finding the right gifts for those special people in your life, spouses, family, close friends and others.

Why not add an extra recipient to your gift list this year, and give the gift that keeps on giving? Sign up for ACB's Monthly Monetary Support (MMS) program or, if you're already participating, consider increasing your contribution. By doing this, you will be giving monthly to ACB and not have to think about it.

By giving through MMS, you will help insure ACB has the resources we need to do our work. I know, like me, you enjoy reading "The Braille Forum." Your gift through MMS will help keep this wonderful publication strong. Many of us enjoy listening to the top-notch programming offered on ACB Radio. By giving through MMS, you will allow us to bring more great programs to the Internet.

What terrific work our professional staff does for us every day. By giving through MMS, you will help ensure they can continue to do this great work and that they have all the resources they need. These are just a few of many reasons why giving through MMS is so important. But let me add one more: you can share your gift with one state or special-interest affiliate of your choice by designating up to half of your monthly contributions to that affiliate.

It takes just a few minutes to sign up or change your contribution to MMS. You don't have to worry about getting the right size, having this gift broken in shipment, and you most certainly don't need a gift receipt because this gift won't be returned or exchanged. Make your list, check it twice and add a contribution to ACB's MMS program to the gifts you give this holiday season. If you wish to sign up, you can call Sheila in the ACB Minnesota office at 1-800-866-3242, or go online to www.acb.org. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central time. All the best of the holidays to you and yours, and thank you from the MMS committee.
