2015 Annual Giving Societies Report Card

by Tom Tobin

In 2014, to better honor and recognize our generous donors, ACB created four new Annual Giving Societies. Levels are based on the amount of annual contributions to ACB. The Annual Giving Societies include:

  • Leader’s Society, for those who donate between $250 and $999 annually
  • Advocate’s Society, for those who donate between $1,000 and $2,499 annually
  • Champion’s Society, for those who donate between $2,500 and $4,999 annually
  • President’s Society, for those who donate $5,000 or more annually

Eligibility will be determined at the beginning of each year, based on the donations made during the previous calendar year, January 1 through December 31. This program is open to individuals, households where there is more than one donor living in the same residence, and ACB affiliates. To be counted toward membership in one of the Annual Giving Societies, a donation must be a contribution that is entirely tax-deductible; that is, one for which the donor receives no goods or services in exchange. For more information about ACB’s Annual Giving Societies, or to make a gift to ACB and become a member of one of these prestigious societies, contact Tom Tobin, director of development, at [email protected], or call the Minnesota office at 1-800-866-3242. We thank you in advance for your support of this initiative!

In 2014, ACB recognized 193 members who gave a total of $201,897. In 2015, ACB recognized 200 members for a total of $205,881! This growth is primarily attributable to ACB members, as the Annual Giving Society ranks are predominantly made up of monthly monetary support (MMS) donors! In 2014, we had 22 members of the Advocate’s Society for gifts totaling $25,825; in 2015, we had 38 members of the Advocate’s Society for gifts totaling $48,980! So, this means that many of you increased your annual support to ACB and moved from the Leader’s Society up into the Advocate’s Society – thank you!
