2019 Convention Auction

Virtual Bidding at the 2019 ACB Picture Perfect Auction

This year, for the first time, those not attending the ACB Conference and Convention will have an opportunity to bid on convention auction items. Here is how the process will work. A virtual bidder will need to register in accordance with the guidelines set forth below. When registering, you will designate each item on which you would like to bid and the maximum amount you would bid for that item. A person at the auction will be tasked with placing bids for you. He/she may place any bid on your behalf up to the maximum amount that you have listed on your registration. You will not be in contact with your bidder, but he/;she will have your maximum bidding information.

Virtual Bidding Guidelines

  1. Those wishing to participate in the 2019 Picture Perfect ACB Live Auction as a virtual bidder must register by providing shipping and credit card information by calling 612-332-3242 no later than June 28, 2019. Please contact Leslie Spoone at lesliespoone@cfl.rr.com with the item you would like to bid on and the amount of the bid you would like to place. A virtual bidder is not eligible to have bids placed on his/her behalf unless he/she has complied with all registration requirements.
  2. Virtual bidding registration will be online from June 15 through June 25 and may not include all auction items. As you peruse the items up for auction on the ACB website, be sure to only place a bid on an item and for an amount you intend to win and pay for.
  3. Bidding on multiple items may have you winning multiple items. So bid with caution.
  4. The live auction takes place on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 and will begin at 7:00 pm eastern time, lasting approximately four hours.
  5. An onsite bidder will be designated to bid on  behalf of each virtual bidder during the live auction, not to exceed the maximum amount designated by the virtual bidder.
  6. The onsite bidder may not place a personal bid while bidding on behalf of a virtual bidder.
  7. Items needing to be shipped to virtual bidders will be done during the week following the ACB convention.
  8. Virtual bidders are responsible for shipping costs of items won during the live auction which will be added to the winning bid.
  9. The credit card provided with virtual bidder registration will be charged at the end of the live auction.
  10. Winning virtual bidders  will be contacted by phone, text or email as soon after the win as  possible.

This is a beautiful handmade Hawaiian Quilt made by Mona Yamada. It has 2 Hawaiian patterns on both sides. One side of the quilt is white with Palapalai Ferns and White Plumeria flowers. The back side of the quilt is a tan quilt with strings of Hawaiian leis. The first lei is a white, red, pink Pom lei entwined around with orange flowers. The second lei is a Maile lei entwined with an orange Puakenikeni lei. This quilt would make a lovely addition to any household and is lightweight enough to carry with you on the airplane. The brightness and uniqueness of this quilt will surely be a conversation piece.

Rivulet is a Series of six mixed media canvases measuring 6 inches by 6 inches with varying depths from 1-3/4 inches to 3 inches. This is an original painting created by nationally known fine artist Amy Monthei. It is tactile work of art depicting a flowing river, the image and texture of the aqua blue hues of water within the river and green marsh grasses flow from each canvas to the next.
The canvases vary in depth from 1 3/4” to 3” so that when hung on a wall the image will seem to move and flow. Each piece is labeled on the back from 1 to 6 in the order it should be hung and has a saw tooth hanger and small d-hooks for hanging. The canvases should be hung approx 1-2” apart on the wall.
