The Honorable (Member’s Full Name):
My name is ________, and I am a resident of (City, State, ZIP Code). My colleagues and I will be in Washington DC on February 24 for a Legislative Seminar sponsored by the American Council of the Blind and then on Capitol Hill on the 25th. Among other things, we would love to have the opportunity to speak with Representative/Senator (Last Name) about three key initiatives impacting our blind community. Two are related to transportation, Autonomous Vehicles and The Surface Transportation Bill. The other concerns the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies (DMEPOS) Competitive Acquisition Rule, and more specifically, the Low Vision Aid Exclusion.
Is the Representative/Senator or their staff available to meet with me and other members of the (insert affiliate name here) during the morning/afternoon of Tuesday, Feb. 25?
As active members of the (insert affiliate name here), we look forward to having an opportunity to discuss these concerns which impact the blind community.
