The convention takes place from Oct. 5-7 at the Holiday Inn City Centre, 500 Hamilton Avenue, Peoria, Ill. Room rates are $69 plus 12 percent tax per night. You can make your hotel reservations by calling (309) 674-2500 before Sept. 18, 2007.

The South Dakota Association of the Blind will hold its convention Oct. 12-13, 2007 at the Staurolite Inn in Brookings. Room rates are $58 per night plus tax for up to four people per room.
