I am putting the finishing touches on June and will send it to Perkins either today or tomorrow. There were a lot of articles left over from May’s issue relating to convention, so I included those first. Some of the tours and events sound absolutely fascinating! Then we got the news about Netflix becoming more accessible, then Facebook and Twitter, then the item from ACBDA about the fund to assist diabetics – it’s been quite a busy month!

Then Lane and Nancy finished up the affiliate balancing, and the AMMS system opened up again for changes, additions, deletions, and so forth. I had a sizable pile of changes that had built up while they were still balancing, and I was grateful to be able to go in and make the fixes again. There were about half a dozen death notices in that pile, along with a large bunch of address changes, a few name changes, and a few “hey, could I get the Forum in [large print, braille, email …] instead of how I currently get it?” requests. And, I’m sad to say, death notices continue coming in fairly regularly, most recently Imogene Johnson of Arkansas, Josephine De Fini of New York, and Geraldine Pye of Georgia. Several affiliates also enjoyed being able to make their corrections, too; I had a large batch last Monday morning after AMMS opened up again, and a smaller batch today.

I also proofread the pre-registration form. Minnesota is putting the final touches on it now; it will be available online May 19th. If you need a large print copy, please contact the Minnesota office ASAP at 1-800-866-3242.
