ACB Response to Concerns Regarding Palm Beach Charity Event

For over fifty-five years, the American Council of the Blind (ACB) has fought to defend the civil and human rights of people who are blind and visually impaired. We embrace action that lifts up diversity and inclusion, while at the same time condemn any pathway toward bigotry and exclusion. In this spirit, ACB is engaging with the Cavallino Club, a south Florida car enthusiasts’ club, to address concerns raised around an event at the Mar-a-Lago resort, which has held events in the past for the annual Cavallino Classic, a popular car show held each year by the club. While ACB has been a beneficiary of donations raised during the event, we do not manage any of the event’s logistics and have no control over where the event takes place. To that end, we are actively communicating with event organizers regarding future event locations.
